Where is my data stored?

DocFilla is served from Cape Town. The database and file storage are hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt, in the European Union, and forms are read by an AI model from Anthropic in the United States. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Some processing therefore happens outside South Africa. The Protection of Personal Information Act allows this where the destination offers substantially similar protection or the contract requires it, and DocFilla's operator agreements require it.

Nothing is stored in a place DocFilla does not name. The privacy policy lists each provider and what it receives.
