Fill in any PDF form online from your saved details, sign it, and send it to other people to complete or sign. Made in South Africa.

What DocFilla does

You upload a form, as a PDF or a photo of the printed page, and DocFilla finds every blank on it. The ones it already knows from your saved details fill in on their own. You answer the rest, sign with a mouse, trackpad or finger, and download a completed PDF that looks like the original.

If the form is for someone else, you send it: a document for signing, with the fields marked for each person, or a template for completion, where every person gets their own copy and each completed copy comes back to you. See how that works for estate agents, property managers, teams and stokvels.

Who runs it

DocFilla is made and run by WiredSouth (PTY) Ltd, registration number 2023/910186/07, a South African company. It is built in South Africa for South African forms first: the one-character-per-box ID number rows, the FICA packs, the Z83, the lease applications that every letting agent sends. Forms from anywhere else work the same way.

The service runs at usedocfilla.com. It is served from Cape Town, the database and file storage are hosted in the European Union, and forms are read by an AI model from Anthropic. The privacy policy names every provider and says what each one sees.

Not to be confused with

DocFilla, spelt with two l’s and an a, is this site. It is not DocFila, an all-in-one document app; not docFiller, a browser add-on that fills in Google Forms; and not DocuFiller or Docufiller, which are other products altogether. DocFilla has no app to install and no browser extension: it is a website that fills in, signs and sends PDF forms.
