Filling in a form
Can DocFilla fill in scanned or non-fillable PDFs?
Yes. Flat PDFs are read from their printed lines and boxes. Scans and photos are read by the vision agent. Fillable PDFs use their own fields.
Most South African forms are flat: underscored lines, tables and rows of character boxes with no digital fields behind them. DocFilla finds those from the printed layout and places each answer in the space that belongs to its question.
Rows of one-character boxes, such as ID numbers and dates, are filled one character per box. Tick boxes are switched on from the question's options.
If a scan is faint and a box is missed, draw over the area with "Rescan area" or add a text box by hand; see the article on adding a box the scan missed.
